You never fuck with water, no matter how strong of a swimmer you are. Glad he’s okay but absolutely bone head move to not wear a life jacket.
Trying to think what happens in this timeline (apparently this happened 2 weeks before deadline):
– Twins Selloff likely still happens
– 4 is probably unofficially retired and never given out again
– 1 is eventually retired by the Astros
– Correa is remembered not as a villain by Twins fans but as beloved figure who broke the streak
– Twins play the season out with C4 patch
– The anger from Twins fans is mostly replaced with just sadness
– First home game following his death is packed
– Correa leaves a complicated legacy among most baseball fans
PSA: if you have a kid in a life jacket, they don’t need to ride on your shoulders. Life jackets are literally for keeping people afloat. Have them swim alongside you or drag them; don’t put the life jacket-having child on your non-life jacket-having self.
I’m good on open bodies of water. Don’t plan to ever go in any in my lifetime
