Cricket has only just come back to the olympic after 100+ years so there’s little hope for baseball imo. I don’t see cricket sticking long either. Why would hosts want to build useless facilities for sports not played in their country?
Olympics are best for the minor sports rather than popular team sports.
I’m coming to think that the olympics should hold competitions for a nations sport. I think adding baseball just for 2028 would be fine, would it make sense for 2032?

Does it need to? The Olympics is for (or should be) for the unprofitable or small market sports that need to cluster together to gain any kind of attention. Sports big enough to manage their own tourney should prefer that path where they are the entire focus of the event.
