Kershaw legitimately sounded like a natural during the whole broadcast.

A Legend putting Yama on such a pedestal speaks volumes

Kersh being such a highly skilled pitcher himself probably gives him even more appreciation for Yama than me whose top throws are only appreciated by my dogs.

« And it starts with his split-finger » … Yamamoto starts with a beauty of a splitter.

It really is art. The pitching finesse but also the endurance and pure efficiency. It really can’t be stated enough that Yamamoto pitched like an absolute god during the playoffs and especially the World Series. Yes the quality of pitching, but also the volume of innings.

I’m sure he could be a double digit strikeout guy every game if he really wanted to, but you can’t go deep into games if that’s ur style of play.

When you have pitchers like Shohei, Skubal, etc, they punch out guys like crazy and have high WARs, but rarely go past 6 innings. When you’re in a best of series and you expect starters to go multiple times and you burn through your bullpen, Yamamoto is the first player on everyone’s starting rotation out of all of MLB tbh.

Some people just won at life. Imagine being so fucking talented at anything you try? While also being 6’ 4”, handsome, and rich.

Infinitely better than Smoltz already, hopefully they give him a few years before throwing him everywhere.
