Day three and we’ve had a million guys start off really poorly here, so not *really* worried, but he had some really hideous at bats the last two days.

He’ll obviously improve, but it’s still wild to me that he’s making 42 million a year.
As a Jays fan, I am sure he will turn it around. That said, there is a reason he wasn’t really in the plans for the future. Trust our hitting coaches saw something the last couple years despite the strong stats last year.
I don’t ever boo mets players for doing badly but when your big free agent signing performs *this* badly in his first series, fans are gonna be frustrated. I’m sure everyone on this sub will clutch their pearls and moan about how beastly all mets fans are, though.

😥 this just makes me sad. I understand it’s frustrating but it’s three games.
I feel maybe fans would be less hard on him if it wasn’t for the major payout he got out of management.
A high contract price sets high expectations and coming from experience, Bo isn’t as reliable a player as you might hope, especially on 3B.

Booing for a bad 4 games is so weak. Literally every player in baseball have 4 game stretches like this. They often go longer than 4 games. It has nothing to do with the player, it’s just how baseball works. If you can’t take the variability of the game, don’t make it other people’s problems by getting mad.

I said it when the signing occurred and will reiterate it now. The Mets obviously didn’t do their homework when moving him to 3B and the fans are going to eat him alive watching him play D, not to mention his knack for swinging at pitches 3 feet off the plate. Bo isn’t suited for a big limelight market like NY.
