Absolutely brutal. Gotta feel for the guy.
Oh damn, that’s awful for him😞
Huge bummer for a guy who worked so hard to get back to the MLB.
Despite being on a rival team, I hope he’s just got a sprain and he gets to play again this season for y’all.
FUCK
Such a bummer. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
I feel sick for Cody, especially considering the journey he took to come back to the majors.
Remember all the people convinced our 8-9 starting pitcher logjam was an issue we’d have to sort out somehow? 😔
brutal
Everyone in September:
« Somehow, ~~Palpatine~~ Cody Ponce returned »
i’m heartbroken, not just for him missing playing time but also because i’m sure this has been a huge mental blow. i watched a ton of his interviews and he seems like such a standup guy who worked his ass off to get back to mlb. hope his recovery goes well and the team take good care of him in the meantime.
Out of curiosity: how important is an ACL for pitching? Obviously pitchers generate a majority of their power with their legs, but I would guess it would be mostly through the quads and glutes, and the ACL is more for stability. There’s probably a difference between which ACL is injured too: front or back leg.

Hopefully it’s just a sprain and nothing worse
Stability is fairly important for creating power and keeping a consistent release point
