    .. that’s without them publicly saying that they don’t think he’s the best option for that spot in the back of the rotation

    ..and Keider? he’s nothing great, basically one of these guys whose ERA can be anything between 4-5. so what you see is what you get with him

    they figure that’s good enough for that spot at the moment.. but better than the alternative

    Imo, what they should do is just use him sparingly, and just slowly ramp him up to around the last 6/8 weeks of the season.. just to see if we can get that pennant race version of JV one more time
