I wouldn’t characterize giving up a single as getting shelled, even if it did tie the game.
And they lost in the next inning when a different pitcher gave up a walk-off home run.
Saburo apologized during his press conference after the game. But it’s not a good look for a team once again mired in last place.
Considering the result, it probably would have been a good time for a mound visit and it’s not entirely that specific pitchers fault.
Yikes.
That’s such a classic,disrespectfull and toxic Japanese working culture.
