Waiting until 2 outs in the 8th to throw at Adames, of all people? He’s one of the game’s good guys.
My thoughts are that plunking players is stupid and soft, but if you’re going to do it you only get one chance, then the game moves forward. Phillips trying to hit Adames with pitch one and failing should have ended this, him going on to throw at him again with pitch 2 is beyond weak. It was dumb to plunk Steer, it’s dumb to throw at Adames here, especially TWICE
