Sounds like they’ve really taken fan feedback well!

This shit happens everywhere. Blue Jays games are insufferable sometimes because of it. I’m convinced it causes more beer drinking, and that’s why they do it.

It makes games miserable league wide. I wear earplugs to Mariners games now.

I had a similar thought when I was there last year for a game. Thought it was out of alignment with the Yankees’ desired reputation as an org. Sounded like I was listening to a local morning sports radio show.

Mets have some stupid sound between EVERY pitch. Noticed when I watched them play the dodgers LA does not and it’s great

Municipal waste collection facility has undesirable traits. In other news…

Coors needs to take it down a few notches.

If I hear another “can I get a huuhhhhh yeahh” blaring through my TV one more time I’m gonna lose it.

I can’t read the article cause I’m not a subscriber. What’s the situation? I feel totally out of the loop looking at some of the other comments. Is this happening at CBP? I’ve been to 2 games and haven’t noticed.

it’s so obnoxious. wish we could go back to hearing the PA announcer, the crack of the bat, and the roar of the crowd.

I suspect this will fall on deaf ears considering this is essentially the experience at every stadium I’ve been to in the past decade. Although nothing compares to the continuous audio blast that is Banana Ball.

I noticed this when I went to a Braves game. It was overwhelming.
The last time I was at Petco (last year) it wasn’t too bad.

The Jays doing this really made me stop going to as many games a season as I used to. They dialed it back a little in the second half of 2024 after complaints but from 2025 to now they are back to a noise every break. It’s really obnoxious and usually has nothing to do with what is happening in the game. A few seasons ago even if down by multiple runs they’d play a hype video at the start of the 8th I think it was that had a guy yelling hold the line.

I complained to my ticket rep last year, and they actually turned it down a bit at least for my section. But then again, nobody was there anyways because the team was terrible.
ChillChickenWillie
Target Field was so awful for this that a few years ago I started going to more St. Paul Saints games than Twins. Not only more chill/quiet, but cheaper, too.
The pitch clock does seem to have cut down on it however.

Fewer sound effects, give us more organ in between pitches. Why fix something that was never broken?

It got so bad this last series our booth was actively losing their minds

You know it’s one of those psychological things to trick you to spend more money. I don’t even have any proof of that, but that’s how everything works now. I’d give 10 years of my life just to live in a world where everything wasn’t scientifically fucking refined to make me part with as much money as possible as often as possible
Capepoints
When the yanks played the Rays at Citi field after that hurricane and the Rays refusal to play a “home game” at Yankee stadium (rightfully so), Citi Field didn’t do any of the games or in game advertising.
It was MAGICAL. Also spawned the thumbs down meme to boot.
