Oof
I’ve never seen that big of an overall favor before
Bobby Cox: “Hunter, you wouldn’t have made a pimple on your daddy’s ass.”
The Reds have been getting jobbed by Umps for years. It’s no wonder we’re the best at ABS in the league. Lots of easy calls to overturn
The Reds made this so much worse for themselves than they needed to with their appalling challenge selection.
Kinda shines a new light on their .202 team batting average.
Check him polymarket.
The fact that the Reds won this game on a walkoff ABS overturned call is just the cherry on top.
This is purely observational but has the formula for run favor changed this season?
It feels like we have been seeing some huge overall numbers & I’m wondering if it is something that changed or just coincidence/confirmation bias.
Admittedly we were terrible with the challenge usage. Watched 5+ clearly outside called strike 3s. Would have put guys in scoring position in nearly all cases. Had both challenges available for all of them.
Wendelstedt had a rough day, but I was more annoyed with how the Reds were using challenges than his performance. He sucked on the outside edge against righty batters. Four backwards Ks way off the plate in that direction. The Reds decided to challenge an outside pitch to a lefty and an inside pitch to a righty. I was losing my damn mind.
