I feel like it being a probable leg injury is the better scenario.

Thank god it doesn’t look like an arm injury. Any injury is bad, but glad it’s not the arm.

I, too, hate it when my pitcher gets leg injuries at the top of the 3rd. Injuries are bullshit, hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Best wishes to Sonny Gray.
Side note, those tiger unis are clean as hell.

After the test pitch, Cora puts out his hand to take the ball immediately, puts his hand down as Sonny tries to debate his way into staying in the game, and then give him a little pat on the shoulder before taking the ball. It was fairly obvious to him and the trainer.
The injury itself is hard to identify. It looked like Gray was trying to stretch or pop something back into place in his right leg. It was more of a « something isn’t right » movement than a « this hurts » movement. The Red Sox are calling it « right hamstring tightness » currently.

It just occured to me that I have not seen the red uniforms in a while

Dude is tough as hell. He seemed to be pissed off having to leave the game. Hopefully he gets back out there soon. I love watching him compete.

Gotta be minor for that much mobility and want to stay in the game. Severe hammy pulls feel like your knee exploded. Severe pain, but more importantly this « my leg doesn’t fucking work » feeling.
