Every catcher has to learn a knuckleball, it’s light enough both in velo and grip to not worry about injuries, and it gives them a way to mess with their own pitcher

Starting pitchers laughing in the dugout during a 12-1 loss because *their* catcher just threw a knuckleball for a strikeout. Everything about this is why I love baseball so much.
Those seams froze completely in the last foot of that pitch. Wow. 😳
