The Dodgers already deal with plenty of hate because they’re successful and buy expensive players. They don’t need a villain on the roster, attracting the ire of more baseball fans.
Seriously, this sort of thing can turn the tide surprisingly fast. For all the hate, success and gobs of money they have, the Dodgers have pretty likeable guys. Rushing could ruin that with another outburst. That’s two already. Third time will cement his reputation.
