Ladies and gentlemen, the 2026 White Sox.

This ump crew has been a masterclass in incompetence tonight. This was just the cherry on top.

  3. for sure the weirdest first career home run of all time

  4. doverawlings

Absolutely bizarre game. Ball gets stuck in Arenado’s glove. B2B2B. *TWICE* Doug Eddings overrules players who clearly challenged pitches in time. Now this (hate to admit it but) absolute bullshit call on the field. Entertaining as hell but if I’m a DBacks fan I’d be fuming

Ah yes, the 57ft home run, nothing unsual

  6. FadedToBeige

yeah it’s kinda bullshit but that’s why you can’t give up on the play

  7. Majestic-Bass6772

I saw this play on Real say « 2-run 57′ inside the park homer lasered to left » at 1 degree launch angle and NEEDED to see this.

  8. Ok_Weakness8334

That’s the worst ruling I’ve ever seen

  9. StickComfortable346

How is the interference not reviewable??

  10. ohhitstito

I swear the WBC expresó machine sent us down a weird timeline, he’s done this twice this year lmao

Antonacci homered to left (57 feet), Pereira scored.

  12. This woulda happened to us in past years. Also you gotta just play through that, at worst its a triple.

This was a nothing burger because of the score but plays like these are mind blowing to me. What was the ball person doing? This was the most obvious fair ball of all time.

  14. So by the rules, that should have been a dead ball right?

Also why is fan interference reviewable, but personnel interference not? Makes no sense.

Similar thing happened with the Jays and diamondbacks. Gimenez hit a ball down the right field the ball guy touched it and he was given second base.

  16. CalebosO4

Gotta still run after that Lourdes. Keep playing until they rule it dead.

It’s the wrong call, but you gotta finish the play.

  17. Routine_Ad_9794

How did the third base umpire not call interference? He watched it happen!

  18. WhiteSoxChartGuy

Total BS call. I mean I’ll take the runs, but it’s still BS

  19. Humble-Chemistry2969

This ball guy touched it on a Andres Giménez double when the Jays were there a couple days ago as well.

  20. Snoo_74705

Is that the same guy who touched a fair ball during the Jays matchup a few nights ago?

  21. thecarrot78

that’s a really stupid call but also how the hell do you not get the ball in regardless

  22. TacitlyDaft

    ESPN app said “57 feet”

    Hmm surely that’s a mistake

    Checks Twitter

    It was not a mistake

  23. Ok_Independent_6599

What’s going on in Arizona where all the ball boys try to catch fair balls 😭

  24. RAF2018336

And last week they called interference on a ball hit to RF where the ball grandpa also touched the ball, Corbin Carroll did not call for interference and instead they threw out the runner at home. But the umpires still called the interference and out the runners on the bases.

So they’re just making it up as they go it seems

  25. Status-Basic

This is the 2nd time in the last few days the ball person in Arizona had interfered with a ball in play.

Guy in right grabbed Andres Gemenez’s shot down the line in the 7th inning of Friday’s game. Time to refresh the ground rules with the help.

One thing my coach always hammered into us is that you are not the ump you will not make the decision so finish the play and find out what the umps decide after.
