  1. Tbf Keibert Ruiz was at the plate so I understand the desperation

Questionable move with a rookie pitcher on the mound making his debut.

To be fair, Ruiz was batting. We all know he wouldn’t have done much.

And the little league play finally doesn’t work. It’s worked two times already this season.

Wood stole home on a play like this against Milwaukee. I’ll take a 50/50 chance of scoring with Ruiz at the plate there.

Got a link of this year when this play did has gone as the Nationals set it up?

This is the first time I’ve seen an attempted stealer turn around and run back to first base

  8. Congratulations to the Braves for fielding like a team that has played baseball before.

  9. Hmm, half-heartedly jogging halfway between two bases usually works. They just got unlucky that an MLB infield was capable of throwing the ball to each other.

Two outs is risky business. These are 90′ basepaths. Unwise to try the steal at 2nd unless you know the pitcher has used their 2 moves.

  11. « The Nats are the worst baserunning team in the history of baseball » – Tony Kornheiser, every time he gets a chance the past month.
