Why didn’t he run on the dropped strike 3? Is he stupid?
So his debut last year was sort of like this, he came out K’ing everyone with fastballs. But that was the Pirates, not the Yankees. And he faded after a few innings.
The difference this year is the offspeed. He did not have that curveball last year. He had the cutter but not as much motion and he couldn’t place it.
Still needs to work on his stamina but his performance and energy are just what the team needed.

Tolle spent all of the offseason/spring training working on other pitches to help protect his fastball, and dude has absolutely taken it up a notch. Gonna be *real* difficult to justify sending him back down.
