It’s never too late to thrive on baseball
Hell yeah that rules
With the first pick of the 2026 Atlantic League draft, Hagerstown selected Vincent Towns, a 53 year old knuckleballer from Upper Marlboro Maryland!
That is the same league where Bauer threw a “no-hitter” this weekend and claimed that he is not washed… A 53-year old construction worker is a starting pitcher for a competitor… Da fuck.
According to the team’s instagram, Towns is now oldest player to appear in an Atlantic League game.
Previous record holder was Roger Clemens, who came back and played at 50.
Vicent’s stats from his two seasons in the Giants minor league system appearing in 25 games for the rookie Arizona League Giants. Dam this makes me feel old. I had just finished my first year of high school when he last played lol

Unc: Still Got It?
Story no one asked for:
I played D1 baseball and we had a knuckleball pitcher coming up on the schedule. I’d only ever seen one from my dad while growing up. He took a couple days off work to fly out and throw BP for the whole team. We ended up winning the game and “everyone clapped”, but I love telling that story. A 65mph knuckler is a knee buckler for a lot of people lol

We are so back
Knuckleballers rise up!!!
