Nick Kurtz n’a pas effectué de but sur balles aujourd’hui, mettant ainsi fin à sa séquence de 20 matchs consécutifs qui égalait Barry Bonds au deuxième rang des plus longs de l’histoire de la MLB. Le record absolu de 22 matchs de Roy Cullenbine reste intact


Nous avons donc vu la séquence de Kurtz se terminer et la séquence de 27 matchs avec coup sûr de Vargas se terminer le même jour.

    It really shows how good Nick Kurtz has been that his name is Nick Kurtz and that seems to be rarely memed on. We’ve all just accepted that Nick Kurtz is good at baseball

    Roy Cullenbine couldn’t find a Major League deal after 1947 because no one back then cared about walks

    Cullenbine had 15 bWAR in his last 3 seasons of his career but he ultimately couldn’t find a team to play for because despite an OBP of .420 in those three seasons, his batting average was very low in 1947 so he basically was waived and lost his job to a young Richie Ashburn on his new team and he was released. It also didn’t help that he wasn’t particularly liked around the league. Definitely would have benefitted with advanced stats being around
