Why do some of the logos look like a child drew them?

Jays base running is indeed abysmal – been happening for years now under Schneider. The fact that it never improves is concerning. Our defense has also lapsed this year.

Cubbies your’e in the wrong corner. NL Central gang is supposed to be in the top right

Can the Giants match Golden Tempo and go last to first in Base Running and/or Stolen Bases (I wouldn’t bet on it)?

It’s always interesting seeing what the advanced stats look like for things that for 100 years we basically only measured through one basic statistic. [The Red Sox appear to be making a concerted effort to accumulate value over basic stats](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fi2ueov48a5xg1.png), now they only need to figure out how to turn that into wins. For those with a mind towards numbers – the R-Squared is 0.46 with a p-value of 2.2e^-5 for predicting BsR using only Stolen Bases.

Data scraped from Fangraphs via the BaseballR package, plotted using RStudio with the png package.

As always, credit to u/aweinschenker and u/Mispelling for the hand drawn logos.

  5. The Yankees are good at base running… never thought I would see the day

The Yankees being good at baserunning these days is one of the more bewildering things

    Not bad just, surprising!

It’s tough to steal a base when you don’t get baserunners…

After the last world series run, no surprises to see the Jays in the « your run game is bad ». We are unable to run bases properly. Many people like to point Hoffman choking and giving up a homerun as the reason the Jays lost the world series, but for me baserunning is what cost the world series, the series should not have come to that homerun.

If you zoom out enough you can see Jose Ramirez’s face in the far upper left corner
